Arguably one of the worst things about hitting the is that it falls during the coldest month of the year. This year is especially brutal, with bone-chilling temps, winter storms, and freezing gusts of wind to withstand. It doesn’t help, either, when weather advisory alerts feed into the panic, or when the warehouse spaces situated along the Hudson forego heat. And don’t even get us started on the muddy slush aftermath. It paints quite an unflattering picture.
But what makes it all better (or worse—depending on how you look at it)? The beyond cozy looks from the runways. Last year’s Polar Vortex must have left a chilling mark, because winter-proof looks have infiltrated the fall/winter 2015 collections, from enveloping fur-lined cocoon coats to super chunky knits.
We rounded up all of our favorite cold-weather looks that had us wishing we could rip off the runway and wear right now, like ‘s gloriously oversize honey shearling peacoat (above, left), the furry gray coat and sweater seat at (center), and ‘s shaggy topper (right).
